LIBERALS IN PAS JITTERY, NIK AZIZ BACK TO SENSES

PAS spiritual leader Datuk Nik Aziz Nik Mat has spoken and he spoke his mind – his true mind – about what kind of attributes in the leaders to lead the party. Going by his words, the liberals who are aligned to Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) de facto chief Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim will now have to work harder to grab the leadership or ‘lie low’ for one more term before making the ‘hit’.

Nik Aziz had said he wanted to see ulamaks leading the party and in particular ulamak as the deputy president so that the party could achieve its objectives of an Islamic nation. Nik Aziz, whom many thought had ‘sold himself’ to the liberals since he has been following Salor assemblyman Datuk Husam Musa’s advises with regards to the relationship with parties in Pakatan Rakyat (PR).

Words Have It That Hadi May Be Questioned On His Achievements At Assembly

Will PAS assembly and leadership election in November will be as calm as it is right now? Or is the scenario like a lull before a storm? PAS election is much awaited by party members as well as observers who feel something is brewing as the ‘stillness’ is too true to believe.

The factionism between the young liberals aligned to Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) de facto chief Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and veteran fundamentalists where party president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang is on still exists and waiting to explode. The young liberals with people like deputy president Mohamed Sabu (he is not young but in the group aligned to Anwar), central committee members Datuk Husam Musa, Zulkifli Ahmad and few others are not expected to ‘sit still’ and watch the leadership ‘slips’ from their palms.

Husam Shows His ‘Anger’ While Veterans Get Jittery

Pas assemblyman for Salor, Kelantan, Datuk Husam Musa turned down offers from Kelantan Mentri Besar for chairmanship of two state-owned companies, giving a picture that all is not well between him and the state government. Husam, not appointed as a state Exco member although he had proven himself and tipped to be the Mentri Besar upon former MB Datuk Nik Aziz Nik Mat’s stepping down, he seems to be a ‘war mood’.

Since after the May 5 general election, Husam has been in the ‘war mood’ as he was sidelined and considered as ‘dumped’ by the new MB when he was not picked as an Exco member, a position he held under Nik Aziz’s tenure as MB where he was a trusted ally and given the finance portfolio.
