PETROL PRICE HIKE : Critics Fuel Negative Image

THE increase in prices of R0N95 and diesel by 20 sen per litre has infuriated many people, who face rising costs of living. That there will be no change for R0N97 brought little respite. However, many have chosen to look at the hike through distorted lens. The seriousness of the situation is a matter of perception.

Some leaders have chosen to politicise the issue instead of providing an accurate picture of the situation. Before you start pointing fingers and blaming the government, get your facts right. Dispel the myths and remember the facts:

It's All About Perception

The announcement of the increase of RM 0.20 per liter for R0N95 and diesel infuriated many citizens who are already facing rising costs of living. The announcement that there will be no changes for R0N97 brought little respite. However, many have chosen to look at the announcement from distorted and warped lens. Indeed, the seriousness of the situation is a matter of perception.

With such a scenario that affects everyone, some political leaders have chosen to politicize the issue instead of providing a true and accurate picture of what is truly happening, not just in our country, but also in the world.  Our government is sincere in its Endeavour to prioritize the citizens’ welfare but unscrupulous leaders are joining the cause with populist views for political mileage.

Harga Ron97 Naik 15 Sen Mulai Hari Ini

Harga minyak petrol RON97 naik harga lagi sebanyak 15 sen berkuatkuasa mulai 5 September 2013 di Malaysia. Jualan runcit petrol RON97 kini naik kepada RM2.85 seliter berbanding RM2.70 seliter. Kenaikan harga petrol RON97 juga dipercayai akibat kenaikan harga pasaran minyak dunia. Oleh itu, kerajaan berhak untuk menaikkan harga tersebut berdasarkan pasaran RON97 semasa.

Harga pasaran RON97 adalah disebabkan harga pasaran semasa minyak dunia. Kenaikan harga RON97 merupakan sesuatu yang ditentukan oleh pasaran bukan oleh kerajaan.

Perkara ini turut disahkan oleh Timbalan Presiden Persatuan Pengusaha Stesen Minyak Malaysia (PDAM), Datuk Abu Samah Bachik. Pada masa yang sama, kenaikan harga minyak ini tidak akan menyebabkan kenaikan harga barang. Kerajaan akan memantau dan mengambil tindakan serius terhadap peniaga yang menaikkan harga dengan sewenangnya. Terdahulu, kerajaan mengumumkan kenaikan harga minyak RON95 dan diesel sebanyak 20 sen bermula 3 September.
